Neck size – gently place the tape measure at the base of your dog’s neck, just below where a collar would sit. Leave space for two fingers between the measuring tape and your dog's coat, aiming for a snug fit so the straps don't sit too tight.

Chest size – place a tape measure gently around your dog’s chest at its widest point, normally just behind the front legs. Make sure to leave a gap (at least 2cm) between the measuring tape and your dog's front legs, as the straps shouldn't sit directly behind their legs. Leave space for two fingers between the measuring tape and your dog's coat, aiming for a snug fit so the straps don't sit too tight.

A note for fluffy doggos If your dog has a lot of floof, add an extra 1cm-2cm of floof room onto their measurements to allow for the changes in their coat during summer and winter. This is most important if your dog is at the largest measurements of a particular size, because adding the extra floof room may mean they need to size up.
