You wouldn’t wear ill-fitting shoes, as that would be really uncomfortable, right? The same concept applies for your dog’s harness. Make sure the harness size isn’t too tight (as in digging into their skin - that’s no good) and you also want to ensure the chest strap doesn’t sit too close behind the front legs (aim for about the width of 2 fingers between strap and leg).
If the exact measurement of your dog’s neck or chest (without a two finger buffer) is at the maximum measurement, the harness size will not fit as it will be too tight. Please allow space for two fingers between your dog’s body and the tape measure to get the correct size.
We suggest sizing up as long as your pup can still comfortably fit wthin the neck and chest measurements.
A no-pull harness is one with a front clip on the chest plate. The idea behind a no-pull harness is to steer a dog towards you when they start to pull. The front clip uses their pulling force to turn them around, helping your doggo realise that pulling doesn’t get them the result they want and is not the easiest way to go forward. A no-pull harness + some good ole’ walkies training is the best way to stop your dog from pulling on walks.
Hand wash in cold, soapy water or machine wash in a Bisous Laundry Bag on a cold, delicate cycle. You can also use a lint roller for any fur that gets caught inside the inner mesh padding.
Yes! The Smart-Fit Harness has reflective strips on the harness body which are visible at night. Because there are 2 d-rings, you can also clip your leash to 1 d-ring (front or back) and then attach a small LED light (such as a keyring light) to the other d-ring for added visibility and safety.
